On or about 8/13/98, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of the St Charles County DDC at St Louis MO. Proposals will be opened on 9/8/98 at 3:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. The value of the work is estimated to be between $3.0 million and $3.75 million. Description of the work is: The project consists of a one-story facility of approximately 30,000 gsf and includes a covered mail platform and carrier loading slabs and canopies. The site is located in the southeast corner of Lot 4 of Wal-Mart's 1st Addition to The City of St. Peters, located between Harvester Road to the south and Mo. Highway 94 to the north. The site will also be bounded on the west by Woodstone Drive, to be constructed by others. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 300 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
