To procure 100 ea commercial off-the-shelf Dept of Transpor- tation (DOT) approved UN1B1 aluminum drum containers for use with Nitric Acid, Red Fuming. Containers shall include DOT approved seals and must have been manufactured IAW with all Title 49, Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) require- ments. Aluminum shall be type 1060, 1100, 3003, 3004, 6061, 5952, 5154 or an approved equal. Any soft material used, as part of the aluminum drum shall be Teflon type material or approved equal. Proposed drum design shall be compa- tible with nitric acid, specification MIL-PRF-7254, which is nominally com- posed of 83% by weight nitric acid, 14% dinitrogen tetroxide, 0.7% hydrofluor- ic acid and water as the remainder.
