The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to procure a maximum quantity of 100 UHF Telemetric Data Transmitting Sets (TDTS) with Wrap Around Antennas. The TDTS shall be fabricated, assembled, tested and packaged in accordance with WS33265 "Critical Item Development Specification For Telemetric Data Transmitting Set, AN/DKT-27D" with SCN1, SCN2 and Engineering Change Proposal S3072. A "First Article" Telemeter is required and first article testing shall be performed in accordance with Table VI of WS33265. Antennas shall be fabricated, assembled, tested and packaged in accordance with NAVSEA drawing DL5016381, Rev. K. All specifications, documents and drawings referenced above shall be made available with the impending solicitation. First Article qualification of the antenna may be required at the Government's discretion if a supplier has not produced or delivered similar parts or components during the previous 12 months. First article testing will be performed per paragraph 4.1.2 of NAVSEA drawing 5016357. A minimum of 50 units will be procured, 10 for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) (Taiwan) and 40 for the United States Navy. Delivery of all procured TDTS units and antennas is expected by 1 March 2000. Solicitation N00178-98-R-1068 will be issued on or about 7 August 1998. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. See Numbered Notes 12 and 26. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division is implementing Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area, therefore, synopsis and resulting solicitations with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply. After October 1, 1997, solicitations and amendments will only be available at the above Web site. Hard copies WILL NOT be provided. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD Web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. For solicitations issued after 1 June 1998, DoD will no longer award contracts not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base.
