Project is located on the Red River/Elk City Ranger District, Idaho County, Idaho; Location of Project -- From Grangeville, Idaho take State Highway 13 east to the junction of State Highway 14, then take Highway 14 to Elk City and junction with Forest Road 1854; follow FR 1854 to junction Forest Road 443 approximately 4 miles; then follow FR 443 to Mile Point 13 to the trailhead. Project consists of trail reconstruction and relocation on 3.3 miles (5.3 km) which includes clearing, grubbing and excavation for 5000 feet, construction of 93 rolling dips, 3 switchbacks, 745 feet of ditch and 225 feet of barrier; existing trail restoration for 1780 feet and trail obliteration for 2545 feet; Station 91+95 to 264+93.
