S. Coast Guard Group Portland, South Portland, Maine. The work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of an existing4,950 square foot pre-engineered building; construction of a new 6,720 square foot pre-engineered building including storage, shop and office spaces; modifications to existing utilities and construction of new utilities. Major building components are: pre-engineered metal building, pile foundations, reinforced concrete floor slab, steel frame mezzanine with concrete topping, wood framed drywall partitions, and heating, plumbing, electrical and telephone systems. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification No. 01-X4032 and Drawing No. 01-X4032 (Sheets 1 -- 41). All work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after Award. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
