(AS&E), PO Box 5733, Boston MA 02206 for the acquisition of preventative maintenance (PM) and emergency maintenance unscheduled service for 22 Model 101ZZ X-Ray Inspection Systems in use at nineteen aerial ports at AMC installations worldwide. This service can only be performed by AS&E due to their patented technologies (Backscatter) and their proprietary system information. Preventative maintenance includes the upgrade of each system's software to the most current technology and revisions, the software upgrades are proprietary to AS&E. The types of support included in this acquistion are: two PM visits yearly at each site, unlimited emergency maintenance and unscheduled service visits, additional operator and image recognition training, upgrading of the system software to the most current technology and revision as applicable, and covers all labor, expenses and materials, including travel costs and X-ray tubes, required to maintain and repair the systems. The proposed contract will be firm fixed price and is anticipated to begin 1 Oct 98 through 30 Sep 99 with four option periods.
