The contractor shall provide natural-color and color-infrared digital images of about 900 miles of stream on lands managed by the Lower Snake River District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in southwestern Idaho. Images will be collected and catalogued in computer files that include GPS coordinates of the locations of the images acquired using NavCap software. The natural color and color-infrared images should be taken simultaneously. The NavCap log files and natural-color images must be able to be opened and manipulated with NavMap software (this software allows one to click on an icon on the computer screen that is superimposed on a digital 7.5 minute topographic map to have the natural-color digital image displayed for that section of stream). The file name of the color-infrared images will be included in the NavMap information boxes, which are displayed after clicking on the map icon for a natural-color image. (NavCap and NavMap software is available from IZEE Labs in Prineville, OR). Imaging work should be conducted over a 2 week period in late August to early September 1998 (streams at elevations > 7000 feet should be imaged prior to September 7, 1998). Digital images and associated log files will be delivered to the BLM on CD's.
