The above referenced solicitation is for production of Crossed Field Amplifiers (CFAs), manufactured in accordance with NAVSEA drawing 53711-6155761 Rev C, WS-21608 Rev A and SCN 1, and with NAVSURFWARCENDIV Statement of Work. Only the following sources are considered to be qualified and only they will be solicited: Litton Systems Incorporated, Electronic Devices Division, 1035 Westminster Drive, Willimsport PA 17701, and Communications & Power Industries, 150 Sohier Road, Beverly, MA 01915. See Note 23. The basic quantity is for 135 each with one option of an additional 5-125 each and a second option of an additional 1-120 each. Required delivery of the basic shall be June through November 1999, delivery of the first option December 1999 through December 2000, and delivery of the second option January 2001 through December 2001. The basic quantity is planned to be a shared procurement between the two qualified sources, with the quantities split based on the combination of price most advantageous to the Government. The option quantities are plannned to be shared procurements with the quantities split based on a calculation combination of cost, quality and delivery data from the basic quantity. Delivery shall be FOB destination Crane, Indiana. This will be a sole source procurement. See Note 22. Solicitation N00164-98-R-0123 is anticipated to be issued on or around 31 August 1998, closing on or around 30 September 1998.
