The Bureau of Reclamation, PN Region, Boise, Idaho has the following requirement for one motor grader. This acquisition is not a set-aside. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitues the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quote (RFQ) and statement are issued as RFQ 1425-98-SQ-10-04100. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-5. The standard industrial classification is 3531 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. CLIN 001: Standard features are Engine: Cummins c8.3 diesel minimum between 150 net and 175 net HP with anti-freeze protection to -58 degrees Fahrenheit. 2 stage, dual element, dry type air cleaner with dust vacuator and standard mounted warning gauge. 24 volt batteries. Heavyduty alternator. Battery isolation switch. 8 forward/ 4 reverse, fully sequential direct drive, powershift transmission complete with guard. Operator controlled, hydraulic lock/unlock differential final drive. Standard tires. Fully sealed, hydraulically actuated oil (wet) disc type service brakes on four (4) tandem wheels, with crossover dual braking circuit, reserve power assist. Independent, hand operated, mechanical caliper disc park brake with operator warning system. Power assisted steering. Load sensing, closed center hydraulic system with short throw, low effort, control levers, positioned in the industry accepted arrangement. Hydraulically operated blade lift, circle turn, moldboard slide and tilt, circle side shift and wheel lean functions with standard blade. Cab controlled frame articulation right or left with indicator. Foot accelerator/ decelerator and hand throttle. Fully enclosed ROPS cab with sound suppression, tinted safety glass, rear view mirror, front defroster fan, front window wiper andwasher, cab heater and bucket seat.
