The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Washington Detachment, Washington, DC (FISCNORVADETWASH), intends ato negotiate a sole source contract with XENOTRONIX, Inc., Altamonte Springs, FL, to procure four hundred and forty-five (445) each, MK 218 Power and Control Unit Battery Charger Systems. The Power and Control Unit Battery Charger Systems will consist of a temperature compensated battery charger; Fault Detection Circuitry; Reverse Polarity Protection; detection of open shorted battery cells; fail safe modes to prevent over charge of battery in the event of a catastrophic failure; and accurate control of charge voltage. The offeror will also provide installation services and training services for the Power and Control Unit Battery Charger Systems. The period of performance is from 1 August 1998 through 31 July 1999 with two one-year options. The contract to be awarded will be a firm fixed price supply contract.
