Pope AFB is soliciting proposals on a full and open competitive basis from qualified organizations for Bathroom Renovations, Cardinal Heights, Phase 3. The project consists of renovation and modification to residential units. The work consists removing and replacing existing ceramic tile floors, wainscot, showers and bathtubs, gypsum board wall and ceiling substrates and replacing with cementitious backer board, removing and replacing vanity cabinets and sinks, removing existing linen shelving and replacing linen cabinets, removing medicine cabinets, installing wall mirrors, removing and reinstalling water closets, removing and replacing miscellaneous bath accessories and framing, installing shower doors, and associated plumbing and electrical work. The estimated time of construction is 280 days. The estimated construction cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. Basis of award: Competitive Best Value, considering Past Performance and Price equally and IAW Sections L and M of the solicitation. While funds are not presently available within Air Mobility Command to fund this project, we anticipate funds will become available by 16 Nov 98. If current fiscal year (FY98) funds become available, contract award will be made no later than 30 Sep 98. If FY98 funds are not available, this project will be funded with FY99 funds.
