The Office of Naval Research intends to award a government order to the Department of Energy, Oak Ridge Operations Office, for services to support the Follow-Up Evaluation of Former Participants in the Office of Naval Research Summer Faculty Research Program. The performance will be for a period of six and a half months. The performer will conduct a follow-up evaluation of faculty members who have participated in the ONR summer faculty research participation program. The study will compare the former participants' current research and development activities and sources of research funding to (1) the research activities they were involved in before their Navy research participation; (2) the research they were involved in while participating in the Navy program; and (3) the general research focus and sources of research funding of similar faculty using data from the National Science Foundation's survey of doctorate scientists and engineers.
