Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and supplies to conduct searches of appropriate geological formations to locate natural roost sites of endangered and or sensitive bat species. The search area shall be limited to that portion of the BMGR east of State Highway 85 in the Sand Tank mountains. Of particular interest is the Lesser Long-nosed Bat (Leptonycteris curasoae yerbabuenae), a federally-listed endangered species. The Contractor shall make a follow-up visits to each of the major sites located during the first phase of the study which was awarded on a previous contract. The follow-up visit should be made during the season the investigators believe the bats will be present at each site to determine the species using each site. The Contractor shall provide recommendations for protection of caves deemed important to bats. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small businesses.
