Crow, (907) 786-3415 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to purchase, under a sole source justification, production of four audio/video remote monitoring systems by June 1, 1998, and installation and test of audio/video monitoring programs and data collection by June 30, 1998. Periodic review of monitor operation, review data files at the end of the field season (approximately mid-September) and prepare report on monitor operations and suggestions for system improvement. The purpose of this project is to produce audio/video remote monitoring systems to monitor and record noise events to establish ambient noise levels, and in addition, simultaneously record (digital video) the reactions of peregrine falcons to sonic booms and other loud noise events.
