This solicitation, Number NMA401-98-R-0013, is being issued as a Request for Proposal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. The National Imagery and Mapping Agency intends to issue a solicitation to furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to upgrade interior and exterior physical security at the Bethesda, Maryland site. The solicitation will include 1 basic line item plus 2 option line items. The interior work includes demolition of existing and providing new guard desks; providing and installing card readers and turnstiles, providing and installing electrical and communication hookups. Exterior work includes demolition of existing and providing new guard houses; providing and installing security access and deterrent systems (i.e. bollards, gate control, card access devices, cameras, and turnstiles) to include electrical, communications and mechanical hookups. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers in descending order of importance: A. Past Performance, B. Technical, and C. Price. The magnitude of this requirement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
