U.S. Secret Service (USSS) intends to negotiate and award an order
under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Federal Acquisition
Regulations (FAR) part 13 for the following equipment: (a) Quantity of
1; Video Spectral Comparator (VSC) 2000 with the following
specifications: VSC-2000 stand, monochrome and color camera w/motorized
zoom lens (1.4-14x magn) automatic iris, manual override; Internal
camera turret w/15 filter positions (1 open, 1 visible low pass, 13
long pass-400-1000nm); secondary internal continously variable
interference filter (400-1000nm) operated in 4 incremental steps;
IR/visible tungsten halogen light source variable intensity control; UV
light source (365nm); internal high intensity tungsten halogen spot
light source w/9 wavebands from near UV to near IR plus white
broadband; IR/visible sidelighting w/variable angle selection; coazial
ilumination; microspectrophotometer(400-1000nm) 4nm resolution;
absorption, reflectance, fluorescence and transmittance spectra
measurementsplus tristimulus color coordinate presentation; Pentium
computer w/32mb ram, min 1gb hard drive, CD ROM, 17" monitor
(1024x768); Windows NT workstation 4.0; monochrome/color frame grabber,
Year 2000 compatible, VSC-2000 software w/updates for 2-years; and (b)
Quantity of 1; Electrostatic Detection Apparatus (ESDA) -- complete
with document humidifier and pack of consumables. This instrument
untilizes a vacuum bed, vacuum pump, corona discharge unit, imaging
film, fixing film, glass beads and toner for developing indented images
on surfaces of documents. Delivery is required with 12 weeks of receipt
of order (ARO), FOB Destination, Washington, DC. THe specific address
will be identified on the resulting order. THIS CBD notice serves as
the RFQ. NO OTHER WRITTEN DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. ALL quotes must be
