F -- PRESCRIBED BURNING IN CABLE LOGGED CLEARCUT UNITS. SOL RFQ-11-98-33 DUE 042098 POC Lew Wilson, Contracting Officer, (530) 283-2050 The objective of the LaPorte Broadcast task order contract is to accomplish prescribed burning in cable logged clearcuts units. There are 4 project locations with a total of 10 units and approximately 200 acres available. All projects are located on the Feather River Ranger District, Plumas National Forest. The projects include preparation, ignition, holding, mop-up and patrol. The contractor will provide prescribed fire qualified personnel, meeting training and experience requirements shown in NWCG 310-1 part-2 in sufficient numbers to manage this project. For each unit a minimum of one Prescribed Fire Burn Boss Type 2 (RXB2), and One Holding Specialist with a minimum qualification of Crew Boss (CRWB) and Lighters and Holders (FFT2) to meet burn plan requirements. The Burn Boss and the entire burn organization must remain on the active unit until the perimeters are fired and fire behavior is stable. (0084)
