D -- UPGRADE OF "MECHANICALLY STABILIZED EARTH WALLS" PROGRAM SOL DTFH61-98-Q-00055 DUE 031298 POC Viola Compton, Contract Specialist, HAM-40G, (202)366-4239 The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to negotiate with Dr. Dov Leshchinsky to upgrade an existing FHWA microcomputer program, "Mechanically Stabilized Earth Walls (MSEW)" by incorporating a program, "ReSlope", developed and copyrighted by Dr. Dov Leshchinsky. This program will allow the following functions: combine program MSEW with a subroutine program used to calculate compound and global stability, create word processor output data file (such as Microsoft Word or WordPerfect) in the MSEW program, and allow for graphical comparisons of designed cross sections in the MSEW program. Dr. Dov Leshchinsky is uniquely qualified to perform this work because of his extensive experience with MSEW and he is the sole proprietor of the copyrighted program "ReSlope."
