The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Dahlgren, Virginia requires AEGIS computer program documentation and maintenance services. These services include system engineering/analysis, quality assurance, configuration management, change control, technical writing and editing, archiving, development and maintenance of AEGIS tactical and non-tactical computer program documentation. Tactical documentation is divided into baselines 1 through 7 with multiple sub or secondary baselines with a volume of approximately 250,000 pages per baseline. Tactical documents include various different types of specifications, functional description documents, procedures, manuals and reports. Non-tactical documentation includes simulator and interface design and specification documents, and operating procedures. Non-tactical documentation volume is approximately 100,000 pages. This is a follow-on to contract N60921-92-C-A216 awarded to IMS Services, Inc. Rockville, MD. The contractor shall have a secret facility clearance and shall provide all necessary equipment. The contractor shall interface with NSWCDD and Non-NSWCDD documentation originators and delivery agents including Lockheed Martin, Techmatics, and in service engineering agents. The work location is Dahlgren, Virginia and the contractor is expected to have its facility within 1 hours driving time. A five year cost plus fixed fee type level of effort contract with a base year and 4 option periods is anticipated. The planned contract start date is 1 October 1998. The solicitation will be issued electronically approximately 30 March 1998. NSWCDD, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division is implementing Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area.
