Deborah Smith-Castle (301-443-0424) The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Food and Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) has a requirement for current information on the state of package labeling for a nationally representative sample of processed packaged foods for 1997 through 2002. The information, when used in conjunction with information collected under previous FLAPS surveys, will be used to track changing aspects of food packages and labels. Past performance will be a part of the evaluation process. The FDA contemplates award of a base year contract with four one year options.
