The government intends to procure on a sole source basis to LOWRANCE AVIONICS, updates of international and domestic airmap data cartridges for LOWRANCE GPS handheld units. A total of 141 domestic and international GPS airmap data cartridges are to be updated every 56 days for a period of one year. All cartridges were manufactured by LOWRANCE AVIONICS. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, supplemented with information included in this notice. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses that are applicable and in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) and the Defense Acquisition Circular. It is the contractors responsibility to be familiar with all applicable clauses and provisions. No RFQ will be prepared or made available. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will be based on a combination of price and delivery/a determination of responsibility/ technically acceptable low bids.
