labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal
necessary to renovate the boiler plant and perform stack repairs at the
U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT (New London County). Work
consists of asbestos abatement, insulation, installation of oil-water
separators, lighting retrofits and improvements, structural repairs to
the stack, and the replacement of condensate tank, condensate piping
and deaerator. Contractor shall also be responsible for providing
temporary boilers during the construction phase. All work must be
completed by 30 September 1998. Cost range is between $500,00 and

Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for April 16, 1998 at 2:00 pm. A
pre-bid/site walkthrough is tentatively scheduled for March 31, 1998 at
the USCG Academy, 15 Mohegan Ave., New London, Ct. This site visit is
the only organized walk-thru that will be scheduled. This project is
issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration
