The work includes replacing glass partitions on two stairwells with fire resistive partitions containing fire doors, providing an enclosed outside stair to exit the roof and second floor, separating the stairs leading to the Family Service Center with fire resistive partition and fire door, and providing automatic smoke detectors in a second floor administrative area. All work is located at Little Hall, an administrative building. The projected date of availability of the solicitation is 20 March 1998. The projected bid opening date is 22 April 1998. Contractors within the local area are encouraged to pick up a copy of the plans and specs at the office of the Officer in Charge of Construction, Building 2004, Room 253, Quantico, Virginia.
