Q -- CONSOLIDATED HOSPITAL AND PHYSICIAN SERVICES SOL RFP 178-0418 DUE 042498 POC Brigette Powers, Contracting Officer, (214) 767-5005 The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Dallas, Texas intends to issue solicitation number RFP 178-0418 on or about March 11, 1998. This solicitation will be for Consolidated Hospital and Physician Services for the inmates located at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Fort Worth, Texas. The BOP intends to make a single award to a qualified medical entity with the servicing inpatient hospital located within a thirty (30) mile radius to the FMC. The successful offeror shall provide all necessary inpatient and outpatient services at their location, and/or at the institution to all federal inmates who are housed, either temporarily or permanently. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed, requirements type contract with a base year from date of award through twelve (12) months, with the possibility of four (4) one (1) year option periods, if exercised. These professional services shall supplement those services which cannot be provided by the FMC. The types of professional services are categorized into the following three areas: Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital Services, Inpatient/Outpatient Physician Services, and On-Site Institution Services. The estimated quantities of services represented are estimates only and are not a representation to the offeror that the estimated maximum quantities will be required or ordered, or that conditions affecting requirements will remain stable or normal. INPATIENT/OUTPATIENT HOSPITAL SERVICES -- Estimated Inpatient Hospital Days (EIHD); Estimated Outpatient Hospital Days (EOHD): Base Year -- EIHD = 1700, EOHD = 1500; Option Year 1 -- EIHD = 1700, EOHD = 1500; Option Year 2 -- EIHD = 1800, EOHD = 1500; Option Year 3 -- EIHD = 1800, EOHD = 1500; Option Year 4 -- EIHD = 1800, EOHD = 1500. INPATIENT/OUTPATIENT PHYSICIAN SERVICES -- Estimated Maximum Outpatient Visits (EMOV), Estimated Maximum Inpatient Visits (EMIV).
