NAWCWPNS, Point Mugu conducts operations involving test and evaluation of various types of missiles and torpedoes which require at times vessels used to recover these assets from ocean bottom or surveys conducted of the test area. The contractor shall provide suitable vessel(s) with crew to support U.S. Navy operations. Boats will be used to support mine and torpedo recovery by U.S. Navy or Government-authorized personnel and support shallow water splice and recovery of underwater communications systems. Vessels will be used to transport U.S. Navy divers and/or sea lions trained by the Navy to recover submerged objects. Anticipated contract type: Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract. Work will be assigned and funded on individual delivery orders. Anticipated contract duration: base period of one year with four one-year options.
