Pacific is proposing a contract for the haulout and repairs of (two)
52" Motor Life Boats at the contractors facility. The 52312 motor life
boat is located in Yaquina Bay, OR and the 52315 motor life boat is
located in Coos Bay, OR. The period of performance for the 52312 begins
01 June and ends 16 Jul 1998 and the 52315 begins 27 July and ends 24
August 1998. The major work items include and not limited to propeller
shaft removal and installation, renewal of strut and stern tube
bearings, underwater body preservation (25% vinyl), engine room
preservation, weather deck preservation, zinc node renewal, haulout and
underwater body work. This notice is for informational purposes for
Minority, Women-owned, Disadvantaged Business Enterpises: The
Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small Disadvanaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority,
women-owned, disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term
working captial for transportation-related contracts. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
