Z -- RECONDITIONING AND RECARPETING OF RAISED ACCESS FLOORS SOL 51674-98 DUE 032798 POC Reginald Walker -- Office- 202-512-0996, fax 202-512-0975 1. The Contractor will be required to recondition the existing access floor system. The Contractor shall provide all labor, adhesive and accessories necessary to properly remove, recarpet and reinstall approximately 570 square yards of raised flooring in a professional manner. 2. Carpet shall be provided by the Access Floor contractor. a. The type of carpet selected is as follows: -- - Porter Commercial & Institutional Carpet, Ringold, GA -- - Style: ViceRoy II -- - Color: 3512 Peacock 3. The Contractor shall start the work by providing a minimum of 400 24 inch by 24 inch raised floor panels which shall be identical to and interchangeable with those used by the Government. The initial 400 contractor provided panels shall be covered with carpet specified above and shall be exchanged with the Government's panels at a minimum rate of 400 24 inch by 24 inch panels per 8 hour shift. A time frame of 5 working days will be allowed between the installation of the first 400 panels and the installation of each subsequent batch of panels. 4. The Contractor is urged to inspect the site to investigate all conditions pertinent to this solicitation. The Contractor acknowledges that he has investigated and satisfied himself as to the conditions affecting the work. The Government assumes no responsibility for any conclusions or interpretations made by the Contractor on the basis of information made available by the Government. The site inspection is scheduled for 10:00 AM on March 12, 1998. (0048)
