Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a modification to a firm fixed price contract for Harpoon missile Telemetry Exercise Sections, AN/DKT-83V in accordance with drawing 1943AS8075-1. This requirement includes the procurement of sustaining engineering and ILS requirements. NAVAIR intends to award this effort under contract N00019-97-C-0082 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516. Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Justification: Supplies (or services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source (s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer of the Harpoon missile and associated components and the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, facilities and experience to perform this effort within the required timeframe.
