process based on the U.S. Postal Service's Executive Competency Model.
The competency model is part of a deliberate and systematic effort by
the organization to ensure leadership continuity and build talent for
executive jobs from within. Individual assessments shall focus on the
type of position for which person is being considered, either
operations or non-operations. The major requirements include
administering and scoring the actual exercises used to evaluate the
individual, preparing feedback reports, providing follow-up
consultation, and managing administrative details associated with
conducting the assessment process, which include details such as
scheduling, mailing materials, telephone calls and billing. Must have
the capacity and ability to conduct more than one assessment per day
and have multiple locations through the United States. Solicitation
issued on or about 2/17/98. Preproposal Conference approximately
3/4/98. Oral Presentations for selected offerors only, around 3/30/98.
