A requirements type contract, possibly with options, for a total period of up to 5 years is contemplated. These component items are essentially commercial items, some of which have been modified for the GPS application. The government does not sufficient data available to repair these items, although there is some incomplete data which is available on a web site. Potential contractors must provide sufficient evidence to establish, to the government's satisfaction, that they are capable, by themselves or through their subcontractors, of SUCCESSFULLY repairing these items. Many parts needed to repair these items are now obsolete. Therefore, contractor would have to find acceptable substitute parts for them. Repairs to several of these items have been attempted in the past, but items have not functioned properly when installed. Contractor would also develop Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP's) for each of these 29 items. Contractor is to develop, and submit with his proposal, a Statement of Work in accordance with the Statement of Objectives contained in the Request for Proposal (RFP). Award will be on an "all or none" basis. The approximate issue/response date will be 05 Mar 98. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered.
