Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price Job Order under a Master Ship Agreement for the drydock repairs of the Mooring Barge No. 2. Prospective contractors must have or be capable of entering into a Master Ship Agreement and have dry-docking capabilities. The Mooring Barge No. 2 is 261 feet 2 inches in length with a total beam of 80 feet; depth is 10 feet 2 inches; draft (loaded) is 4 feet 9 inches; and displacement (loaded) is 1845 long tons. The work to be performed may consist of, but not limited to, painting, underwater repair work, miscellaneous mechanical, electrical, structural repair and drydocking. The work is scheduled to commence on or about 16 April 1998 and be completed in thirty (30) calendar days from the date the Job Order is awarded. The vessel is scheduled to work in the Delaware River along the East Coast of the United States. The area of consideration is restricted to facilities along the inland waterway, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to, and including, Norfolk, Virginia since it is not ocean worthy and has no water tight doors. Solicitation No. DACW61-98-B-0015 will be issued on or about 4 March 1998 with a closing date of 3 April 1998 at 1115 hours at the local place of bid opening.
