The Dept. of Housing and Urban Development is in need of contractors to provide HUD with quick-response, expert services and long term deliverables for the purpose of fulfilling the Department's responsibilities in lead-based paint hazard reduction. It is anticipated that a contract and/or contracts will be awarded in two topic areas, science and technology and program support. (1) The science and technology topic areas is to conduct research and technical studies, using both primary and secondary data that will develop and improve cost-effective method of lead-based paint hazard evaluation and control in housing. (2)The program support topic area is to increase the effectiveness of the programs of the HUD Office of Lead Hazard Control. Indefinite Quantity Type Contracts are contemplated. The minimum amount per contract to be awarded is $300,000. The maximum amount per contract to be awarded is $9,000,000. The period of performance of the contracts will be for five years.
