The contractor shall provide all material, labor, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and services and facilities necessary to complete the lighting retrofit of an existing workroom including incidental work described in the Solicitation Package contract documents. The work includes, but is not limited to the removal of all workroom fluorescent lighting and replacement with metal halide lighting. The workroom area consists of approximately 109,000 square feet. Sections of the existing suspended overhead conveyor system will require removal. Existing exit signage shall be replaced with low energy LED exit light fixtures. Additional electrical panels shall be included for more efficient distribution of workroom lighting feeds. The project will be bid a single sum contract. Site access and construction areas will be limited. Extensive construction coordination and sequencing are required to ensure full time operation of the existing facility.Estimated construction cost range is between $550,000 and $600,000. The construction performance period is 150 calendar days.
