New water closets shall have battery-powered automatic flushometers. Removal of existing urinals and trims and replacing with new water-saving urinals and trims are included in the work. New urinals shall have battery-powered automatic flushometers. Remove existing shower heads and replace with new water-saving shower heads. Remove existing lavatory faucets and supplies and replace with battery-operated, sensor operated lavatory faucets. New faucets shall be complete with backchecks and mixing valves. Existing lavatories shall be reused except for those indicated to be replaced with new. Rough-in modifications, fixture supports, tile replacements and other incidental related work included. The solicitation has two bid items. Bid item 1 is for the entire work related to the replacement of plumbing fixtures and trims. Bid item 2 is for tile replacement work. Estimated cost range of this procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 25 February 1998 on a first-come first-serve basis at no cost.
