Schatan, Contracting Officer, (507) 272-7205 The Panama Canal Commission requests bids for the work of cleaning and metallizing draft tubes No. 1,2 and 3 of the Gatun Hydroelectric Station, and performing other appurtenant work as required for a complete job. The work is scheduled to begin on or about May 21, 1998 and be completed by July 6, 1998. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Prospective bidder's foreman, metallizing gun operator, and sandblasters must have at least two years of experience in their respective fields. Bidders may be required to submit resume with their bid or before award to demonstrate personnel qualification.
