NEW CONTRACT FORMAT FOR SOME AMCOM AQUISITION DOCUMENTS On approximately April 6, 1998, U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, (AMCOM), Redstone Arsenal, Al will be participating in a test of a new contract format. This contract format has six sections: Section I -- Cover Sheet Supplemental Information, Section II -- Acquisition Description/Schedule, Section III -- Financial and Administrative Information, Section IV -- Contract Clauses, Section V Performance Requirements and Section VI -- Proposal Submission and Evaluation Information. The test is for a period of three years. The purpose of the revised contract format is to make it easier for both industry and Government use. Most of the contract clauses will be in Section IV. Only those clauses which pertain specifically to the other sections of the contract will be included within these sections, i.e., Clauses pertaining to inspection will be included in Section V, Performance Requirements.
