Bighorn Canyon, National Recreation Area is soliciting invitation for bids on a full and open competitive basis from qualified dealers/suppliers to provide a floating dock system for courtesy boat launching and long-term boat mooring. The dock system will be located at Barry's Landing in Montana, which is accessed through the Lovell, Wyoming entrance into the Park. The site has a concrete ramp for vehicles with boat trailers. The dock system must consit of main domponents that are unobstructed on one side for temporary boat mooring after launching and before loading. The other side of the main dock shall have a minimum of five finger slips for (7) boats and (1) pontoon/houseboat up to 30' long. There is an NPS existing floating restroom that must be attached to the lake end of the dock system and a 40' long aluminum gangway attached to the shore end. The whole system is a floating structure except for the gangway to the shore. It's location during the year will change over 500' horizontally and 60' vertically. The dock suppliers must also design the anchor system to include winch(s?) and dock anchor attachments. This dock system is considered a commerical item and contract will be a commerical item contract with firm fixed price. Solicition packages will be made available by request on February 25, 1998; must be received in this office by March 12, 1998; award is expected to be made by March 15, 1998. Government estimated price range is $40,000 to $50,000 delivered to Barry's Landing. (0041)
