The work required by specifications include the relocation of an existing 800psi air reducing station from inside Building 643, East Area, Langley Research Center, Hampton, Virginia to a nearby outside location at Building 644. In addition, as a result of the aforementioned relocation effort, minor piping modifications will be required. SITE VISIT: A site visit will be held for this job on 2/18/98. Offerors will meet at NASA Langley Research Center, Building 1195A, Room 121, at 10:00 AM. From there they will be escorted to the job site. NOTE: Only one site visit will be held. Offerors who plan to attend should contact Tim Stubbs at 757-864-2460 to notify of your intent to attend. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 1711 and $7.0 million respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C2. The anticipated release date of RFQ 1-130-GGL.1248 is on or about 2/10/98 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 2/25/98. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
