D.C. National Guard Facilities, Andrews, AFB, Camp Springs, MD. The
work consists of providing a complete Aqueous Film Forming (AFFF) Fire
Protection system which includes a fire detection and alarm system and
draft stops in Hangars 8 & 9. Demolition of existing pavement as
indicated. Provide and install piping, non-aspirating foam-water
sprinkler nozzles, AFFF system. Provide and install a Fire Detection
system. Provide new electrical panel and associating wiring for the
400Hz electrical distribution system in Hangar 8. Provide labor and
material to make like safety modifications such as relocation of doors,
extend CMU walls and replace ceiling tiles. The estimated magnitude of
construction is between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. Solicitation
documents will be issued on or around February 28, 1998, on a first
come, first serve basis, until supply is exhausted. All responsible
