89 -- ACQUISITION OF RESEARCH ANIMAL FEED SOL RFP 600-026-98EM DUE 032098 POC Edward Martinez Request for Proposals for a Firm Fixed Price (Commercial Item FAR Part 12) procurement to provide Research Grade Laboratory Animal Feed in assorted bags and cases on an as needed basis to the Research Departments at the VA Healthcare facilities at Long Beach and San Diego, CA, and the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System facilities at Seattle and American Lake, (Tacoma) Washington. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set Aside with a SIC code of 2048. Intended contract period is from 4/1/98 through 3/31/99 with two one year option periods. All feed must be of Research grade in accordance with the standards of the American Association for Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care. Milling date and product composition must be indicated on all containers of feed and must be current. Descriptive literature is required with the proposal when offering equal items.
