Hall, Contracting Officer, 236-5412 x232 This pre-solicitation notice is reflective of a notice issued 8/6/97, suspended due to cultural resource concerns that resulted in conducting an archeological review of the site. This was accomplished 12/12/97. Therefore, the project shall proceed and this is a pre-solicitation notice for a requirement to furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to construct a new earthen cross dike approximately 10,360 feet in length. The excavated material shall be obtained from borrow areas north and south of, and parallel to, the new dike. Approximately 73,180 cubic yards of material, measured in place, shall be required for the construction of the new dike. The project site is located at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge near Brigham City, Utah. The contract period of performance will be 120 calendar days from the contractor's receipt of the notice to proceed to be issued on or about April 20, 1998.
