Y -- SUSPENDED CEILING REPLACEMENT SOL R6-98-912 DUE 031098 POC Procurement and Property Management, 503/808-2581 The Forest Service intends to award a sole source contract to Honeywell, Inc. for approximately 60,000 SF of suspended ceiling replacement at the Pacific Northwest Station Forestry Science Laboratory located in Corvallis, OR. This contract, estimated between $100,000 to $250,000, will run concurrently with an Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) currently being negotiated with Honeywell (Contractor-Identified proposal) under their ESPC contract with the Department of Energy. Ceiling replacement is so closely integrated with lighting and HVAC retrofits included within the ESPC contract that it is considered not feasible to procure separately under a competitive solicitation without incurring duplication of costs to the Government and delays in project completion.
