X -- PARKING SPACE RENTAL/LEASE SOL TIRMS-98-Q-00068 DUE 021998 POC Johanna Wade, Contract Specialist (972)308-7245 The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) located at 230 South Dearborne Street, Chicago, IL, wishes to solicit quotes for rental/lease of 20 reserved parking spaces. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation package will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ No.: TIRMS-98-Q-00068) and will be satisfied by entering into an unrestricted Commercial Item (CI) procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 7521. This action is set aside for small businesses. IRS requires reserved parking spaces be located block from office to allow IRS Inspector's to respond timely to emergency situations. Safety of personnel and vehicles is of great importance. The parking facility must be an indoor garage and well lite. Facility must also be well secured and made accessible twenty-four (24) hours a day seven (7) days a week. This is a firm fixed-price requirement. Terms of contract will be for one (1) base year with three (3) one (1) year option periods. Base period (7) months: March 1, 1998 through September 30, 1998. Option 1: Oct. 1, 1998 through Sept. 30, 1999; Option 2: Oct. 1, 1999 through Sept 30, 2000; and Option 3: Oct. 1, 2000 through Sept. 30, 2001. At any time during the period of this contract, the government may increase or decrease the number of parking spaces by written modification to the contract. The minimum parking spaces is 20.
