J -- DOCKSIDE REPAIRS FOR USCGC SENECA (WMEC-906) SOL DTCG80-98-R-3FC794 DUE 032698 POC Contact Mr. Louis Romano, Contract Specialist (757) 628-4651 Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform Dockside repairs including, but not limited to the following Minimum Items: 1)Overhaul CPP Pumps and CPP Valves. 2) Clean #1 and #2 SSDG and Emergency Generators, in place. 3)Preserve 03 Level Deck. 4)Overhaul Motor Generator Sets. 5)Clean Shipboard Ventilation System. 6)Renew Ventilation Ductwork. 7)Remove Compressed Air System and Cleaning Tool Stations and Install Air Regulator/Lubricator Stations. 8)Inspect and Overhaul Steering Systems. 9)Preserve Hangar. 10)Preserve Engine Room Overhead. 11)Preserve Flight Deck. 12)Refurbish Crew's Berthing Areas and Locker Spaces. 13)Renew Dielectric Deck Coverings. 14)Provide Temporary Logistics. Indefinite items include: 1)Rewind Motor Generator Set. 2)Additional Temporary Logistics. Vessel's homeport is Boston, MA. Vessel availability schedule will be 8 June 1998, for 42 days. The place of performance will be at the vessel's homepier in Boston, MA. There will be a non-refundable charge required inthe form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard in the amount of $100.00 for requested U.S. Coast Guard specification reference drawings. Award is to be made to the responsible offer, conforming to the solicitation, that will provide the best overall value to the Government. All offerors will be required to submit a Technical and Price proposal. The Technical proposal will be broken down into the offeror's technical approach and past performance information, for evaluation. The Price proposal shall be evaluated to determine fairness and reasonableness. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related Contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
