e-mail., gibson.karen@epamail.epa.gov. The U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency intends to negotiate sole source with The University
of Michigan Air Quality Laboratory, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2029 for
modeling to estimate an annual impact of local emissions in the
Everglades. This modeling will estimate the anuual wet and dry
deposition of local and regional sources of mercury in the Everglades
using existing measurements available from sites operated by the
University of Michigan in 1995 and 1996. The contractor shall write a
draft journal article describing the modeling work and results. EPA
believes that The University of Michigan Air Quality Laboratory is the
only vendor capable of satisfying the requirements stated above. The
University of Michigan collected and performed the analysis for mercury
samples studied to date and will be able to apply a complex dispersion
model using actual emissions data and detailed meteorological data.
The period of performance is expected to be from date of award through
6 months. No solicitation is available. All interested parties must
respond within 15 days of the date of this announcement. Interested
vendors shall: 1) include information on the proposed services which
