The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to negotiate sole source with The University of Michigan Air Quality Laboratory, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2029 for modeling to estimate an annual impact of local emissions in the Everglades. This modeling will estimate the anuual wet and dry deposition of local and regional sources of mercury in the Everglades using existing measurements available from sites operated by the University of Michigan in 1995 and 1996. The contractor shall write a draft journal article describing the modeling work and results. EPA believes that The University of Michigan Air Quality Laboratory is the only vendor capable of satisfying the requirements stated above.
