Z -- ROOF REPLACEMENT BLDG 1170 AT THE NAVAL UNDERSEA WARFARE CENTER, NEWPORT RI SOL N62472-98-C-7211 POC K. Dwares at 1-401-841-2544 A. This is a Pre-invitation Notice. The project shall be to remove the existing built-up roofing and torch applied roofing system, inclduding insulation to Building 1170 at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center,Division Newport, Newport RI. Work includes the installation of a new EPDM roofing system, polyisocyanurate insulation, all mechanically fastened and new coping/fascia. Removal of existing rooftop mechanical equipment equipment and closing opening with metal roof deck. A new roof hatch and ladder, and caulking joints in exisitng precast concrete wall panels and incidental work. The work includes removal and reinstallation of the exisitng roof mounted lightning protection system. The SIC Code is 1761 and the size standard is $7.0 million. The estimated cost range is between $250,000.00 and $ 500,000.00. The proposed contract (solicitation) will be issued as unrestricted and is subject to the evlauation criteria set forth in DFAR 252.219-7008-Notice of Evalauion Preference for Small Disadvanataged Business Concerns, Construction Test Program (APR 1996). B. There will be a charge for plans and specifications, however at this time the dollar amount has yet to be established. C.
