SOL 8D-1933-NALX DUE 021398 POC Clarence Roberts (MD-33) Updated/Revised Section of AP-42 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source agreement with Midwest Research Institute, located at 5520 Dillard Road, Suite 100 Cary, NC to update and revise the AP-42 sections in the food, agricultural and wood product industry chapters. This sole source agreement will also include updating the EFIG background files. MRI was the contractor that originally provided support for the development of the above mentioned sections under a previous contract. Due to MRI's involvement with this work in the past they have develop unique knowledge of the background information and expertise necessary to perform this revisions. The EPA anticipates awarding a Small Purchase for this requirement. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of this notice to Clarence Roberts at the above address for consideration by the Agency. Responses must include detailed technical information andother technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination of what competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determined whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the government, an order will be placed with MRI. (0029)
