Z -- REPLACE BURNERS AND UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS AT HEAT PLANT #1, PROJECT 97-0021 SOL F0561198B0204 DUE 031298 POC Contact Margaret Wages (719)333-2735/Contracting Officer, John Peters (719)333-2735 This project includes, but not limited to, the following: removal, cleaning, and disposal of residual fuel oil #5 remaining in two underground and one above ground tanks and associated piping to include approximately 65,000 gallons of sludge at bottom of tanks; removal and disposal of two underground storage tanks; soil sampling, analysis, and waste disposal of approximately 600 CY of contaminated soil; removal of fuel oil heating equipment and pumps; asbestos abatement; installation of double-wall underground storage tank, new fuel oil pumps, and new air compressor; replacement of oil guns for burners and gaskets and seals for existing transfer pumps. Bid additive item for replacement of transfer pumps No. 1 and 2 to include revised inlet and outlet piping as required. The resultant contractor will be permitted storage on-site. Performance period will be 63 administrative days and 117 on-site construction.
