Bowles, 202-712-0595, Contracting Officer, Veronica Smith, (202) 712-5130 The Agency for International Development requires printing and binding services for publications produced by USAID's Multimedia Communications Division in the Bureau for Legislative and Public Affairs. Services will include image setting from Macintosh files and scanning or stripping in photographs, design, printing and binding and the ability to publish in color. The Contractor will be required to have the following Software and Hardware: Pagemaker 4.2; Quarkxpress 3.2; Adobe illustrator and Photoshop; WordPerfect for Windows Version 5.2; MacDraw; and MacPaint Apple MacIntosh II or better and operating system 6.0 or better. The Contractor shall be able to provide Postscript 2540 dpi (dots per inch) output. The contractor shall provide USAID with a blueline proof within two (2) workdays from receipt of the Pagemaker or Quark Xpress floppy disk (Macintosh), hard copy, photo prints and line art. This function will consist of cropping, sizing and positioning illustrations in the copy and preparing camera-ready copy or negatives to be used on jobs. For most four-color jobs, a chromalin proof will be required. These services are required over an approximate period of one year with two option. The Government intends to made one award as a result of this solicitation. The award will be made on thee basis of a Small Business Set-Aside competition, with award to the Small Business whose technical and cost factors demonstrates the best value to the Government.
