Air ambulance service on an "as required" basis within the continental United States (CONUS) and near off-shore locations. Contractor shall furnish multi-engine, IFR equipped, pressurized, fixed-wing aircraft with medical staff. Both aircraft and medical staff must comply with technical specifications and standards prescribed by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) and be accredited by CAMTS. Services will be divided into 3 regions; Western, Central, and Eastern. Service in the Western Region requires an estimated 13,750 Great Circle Statute Miles (GCSM) and 140 patient care hours per year, 18,750 GCSM and 204 patient hours in Central Region, and 22,500 GCSM and 255 patient hours in the Eastern Region respectively. Period of performance is 1 year with an option to extend service not more than 6 months under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.217-8. (0309)
